The town of Ettelbruck was liberated twice by the Allied troops in 1944, on September 11 and December 25. The General Patton Museum and the "Groupe de Recherches et d'Études sur la Guerre 1940-1945" with the support of the municipality will commemorate the double liberation of 1944 on these days.
